The Dover Federal Foundation exist to support the needs of community members in our state.
Request for funding from the Dover Federal Foundation must be on letter head and include:
A description of the organization’s mission, the intention and details of how the funds will be used, a due date (if applicable) as well as all contact information for the 501c3.
To qualify for consideration, your organization must show alignment to DFFoundation priorities:
· Health and well-being of mental illness needs in the state of Delaware
· Socioeconomic stability and equality
· Have current tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code or be a governmental entity.
· School systems will need to submit an IRS letter of determination or a letter on school system letterhead confirming you are a school system.
· Demonstrate one full year of program services and outcomes.
· Exemplify responsible financial management within the 501c3
· Clearly define the impact your organization is making in the community or with the targeted audience without discrimination against any individual on the basis of race, creed, gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation or national origin.
Funding will not be issued to the following: capital campaigns, endowments or other reserve funds; individuals or individual projects; government agencies; religious institutions; political causes or candidates; programs that do not fit funding guidelines or grant-making strategy.
